For managers and coaches of Little League tournament teams aged 9 to 16 (League Age) in Australia, 2026 season. Covers daily pitch limits, rest days, pitcher and catcher movement, second games, mound visits and courtesy runners.
These are tournament rules. The Baseball Australia Little League Tournaments Manual 2026 applies to all Little League pathway (All-Star) tournaments in Australia and overrides any regular season by-laws states and territories use. Its pitching rules replace the regular season pitching regulations for those tournaments. The Little League International rule book governs the running of all tournaments.
The manual does not set out the regular season pitching limits, so this guide covers tournament play only. It applies to Little League, Intermediate League, Junior League and Senior League teams.

In Little League, Intermediate League and Junior League tournament games, a team may use a courtesy runner for the catcher and/or the pitcher of record when there are two outs. With continuous batting, the courtesy runner must be the player in the batting order who made the last out.
Senior League instead has a special pinch-runner rule: twice a game, but not more than once per inning, a team may use a player who is not in the batting order as a special pinch-runner for any offensive player.
