Do I need a card if I help for seven days or less, or if I am under 18?

Q: Do I need a card if I help for seven days or less, or if I am under 18?

Blue Card Services lists these volunteer exemptions: Volunteers under 18 do not need a blue card. Volunteering for 7 days or less is exempt, unless you attend an overnight camp or have close personal contact with a child. Volunteers who only give help or guidance to a child employee (such as during work experience) are exempt. These exemptions do not apply to restricted persons (for example someone with a suspended card or a negative notice). For overnight camps the parent and 7-day exemptions do not apply, so volunteers must hold a blue card before attending. Source: https://www.qld.gov.au/jobs/blue-card/required/industries/volunteers
