Under section 15.3 of the Cycling SA Road Cycling Handbook 2026, for youth boys' and girls' road races and time trials:
- Each age category needs at least 5 starters to have its own classified results.
- With fewer than 5 starters, the category is combined with another to form a 4-year category (for example U13 and U15 together).
- If there are still fewer than 5 starters in the own or combined category, medals but no jerseys are awarded, whatever the number of entries:
