How long does certification last and how do I keep it?

Question

Accepted Answer

The initial period of certification is three years for Levels 1, 2 and 3, and two years for Level 4. After that, you must meet practical requirements to keep your level:

Level	Minimum requirement
Level 1	Activity as an Official
Level 2	4 race days in a 3-year period, and an update every 2 years
Level 3	4 race days a year, and an update every 2 years
Level 4	4 race days a year at Technical Delegate or Chief level (or to the satisfaction of the Official Chair), and an update every 2 years

The update is at the discretion of the PTSO Officials Chair. Officials who do not meet these criteria lose their official status and are removed from the Officials List.
