- Officials
Yes, in two ways.
- Official's membership: registration as a certified Official through a PTSO (provincial or territorial sport organization) includes Certified General Liability insurance while you are involved with race competitions, events or activities and working within your certification level.
- National calendar events: these are covered by the ACA Commercial General Liability (CGL) insurance, which includes all members of the Organizing Committee, as long as they operate within the expected realm of ski racing and the particular rules for the event, and the club and all participants are registered with ACA and their PTSO for the current season. The policy explicitly includes liability claims by any accredited participant, including athletes, against any other participant, including officials, course workers and coaches.
Ski Quebec Alpin has a separate CGL policy from the ACA policy.
