Under Rules 4 and 5 of the WFDF Rules of Ultimate 2025-2028:

A game is won by the first team to 15 goals.
Half time comes when a team first scores 8 goals.
After each goal, teams swap ends, and the team that scored pulls next.
Each team has a maximum of 7 and a minimum of 5 players on the field for each point.
Teams can make unlimited substitutions after a goal, before signalling ready for the pull. During a point, a player can be substituted after an injury or because of illegal or faulty equipment, and the opposition may then substitute one player too.
Each team designates a captain and a spirit captain.

The rules allow variations for particular competitions, so a tournament can set its own game length and time caps.
