What is The Championships, how does it relate to the National Touch League, and when and where is it played?

TFA's 2026 event conditions refer to the event as the National Touch League (NTL) / The Championships. Touch Football Australia's Championships FAQ says the National Touch League was redesigned from 2024 to include affiliate representative teams, because the NRL Touch Premiership now covers the elite competition and The Championships focuses on growth and participation across a wider range of levels.

• 2026: Wednesday 4 to Saturday 7 March 2026 (four days) at C.ex Coffs International Stadium, Stadium Drive, Coffs Harbour, NSW.
• 2027: TFA's July 2026 national calendar update lists 11 to 14 March 2027 (Thursday to Sunday) at C.ex Coffs International Stadium, with 40-minute games as the standard match length. New Zealand Open regional or provincial teams are to be included for the first time. The update says some matters, including the structure of the Opens divisions and event timing, were still under review. The 2027 event conditions were not yet published in the sources checked, so this guide uses the 2026 conditions.
