Under Rules 4.1 to 4.4 of the 2024 Rules of Handicapping and Golf Canada's guidance:
- Post it yourself or have someone authorized post it. The score can be submitted by you, the Handicap Committee, the Committee in charge of the competition, or anyone you authorize. Golf Canada members post through the Golf Canada Score Centre (scg.golfcanada.ca).
- Choose the form: hole-by-hole scores (strongly recommended), an adjusted gross score, or Stableford points, in the form the Authorized Association prescribes.
- Provide the details: the date played, the Course Rating and Slope Rating for the tees you played and, where applicable, par and stroke index for each hole.
- Post on the day of play, as soon as possible after the round and before midnight local time. If you do not, your Handicap Index will not update in time for the next day and your score is left out of that day's playing conditions calculation. A late score is still entered in the correct chronological order and the published PCC adjustment for that day is applied.
- Make it available for peer review. Scores should be posted as soon as possible so the people who played with you, or members of your club, can support or challenge them.
Rounds played alone can be posted for the record, but are excluded from the Handicap Index.
