Is our league switching to 15-point games this season?

It is up to your league. The BWF approved a new 3x15 scoring system in April 2026, and it comes into effect worldwide on Monday 4 January 2027. Until then, the 2025 Laws (21-point games) apply.
Badminton England's position for England:
- Competitions run by Badminton England move to 3x15 by default. The National Badminton League is the main exception.
- Local leagues and independently run competitions keep their autonomy: they can choose 3x15 or stay with 3x21.
- Major events such as the All England Championships and the English Nationals switch in January 2027.
- Seasonal competitions such as the Senior County Championships switch when their 2027/28 cycle starts, and the Shires League is expected to follow from September 2027.
- Most Masters events wait until January 2028.
So a 2026/27 league season can legitimately use 21-point games throughout, or switch mid-season in January 2027. Your league's own rules or handbook will say which.
