Between matches (USTA Table 11), juniors must be offered at least:
| After | Minimum rest |
|---|---|
| Best-of-three tiebreak sets (including with a match tiebreak) | 60 minutes (30 minutes in doubles-only tournaments) |
| Pro set, or short sets with a match tiebreak | 30 minutes |
| A best-of-three tiebreak-set singles match, when the next match is singles | 2 hours (the Recovery Rule) |
The Recovery Rule doesn't apply to matches with a match tiebreak instead of a third set, short sets, or indoor matches under two hours. Referees should allow extra rest for heat, humidity or long matches.
Between sets in the 12 to 16 divisions (Table 12): a mandatory 10-minute rest after the second set of a full three-set match, or a mandatory 3-minute rest before a match tiebreak.
Juniors may not practice on any court during a rest period (Reg. IV.C.7).
