Who is eligible to compete at the National Championships?

Athletes must:

• be Canadian citizens;
• be in good standing with their Provincial/Territorial Sport Organization and Taekwondo Canada;
• hold a Kukkiwon Dan/Poom certificate;
• hold a valid 2026 World Taekwondo Global License with event pass;
• not be serving a period of ineligibility for an anti-doping rule violation, or be under a provisional suspension following one asserted by World Taekwondo, the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport or any other Anti-Doping Organization.

Athletes are advised that World Taekwondo Anti-Doping rules, and where needed the World Anti-Doping Agency Code, may apply at the event, and it is the athlete's responsibility to comply.

The 2026 championships were held February 5-7, 2026 at the Halifax Convention Centre, Nova Scotia.
