What protective equipment and uniform are required, and what is inspected?

• Athletes wear a World Taekwondo recognized kyorugi uniform and World Taekwondo recognized protective equipment. Club identification on uniforms is not permitted; only Canada or a Canadian province is accepted.
• The event provides the headgear and chest protector (KPNP K2 Protector and Scoring System).
• Athletes bring their own groin guards, mouthpieces, gloves, KPNP K2 sensing socks, and shin and forearm guards. KPNP K1 sensing socks are not compatible with the K2 system.
• Inspection: athletes must pass inspection before each match, wearing the uniform and all mandatory equipment. They must watch the call screen and report to the Inspection Desk at least two matches before their scheduled match, or they may be disqualified. Athletes receiving medical attention are not considered checked in.
