The 2026-27 manual does not set tryout dates or selection criteria for club rep teams. It does set these roster rules:
- Tryout-only participants should not be added to a club's Ramp player list unless they are actually registering with the club, because anyone listed in a club's Ramp account is considered part of that club and cannot join another OBA-affiliated club's roster without a transfer.
- Only athletes assigned to the team in Ramp are eligible to play. Every rep player must be listed in Ramp and assigned to a team.
- A team with fewer than the minimum or more than the maximum allowable number of players is non-compliant with OBA competition-compliance standards.
- Every athlete must be individually registered in Ramp in the correct category before taking part. A club that lets an unregistered athlete play may be fined $100 per athlete, and the team may forfeit affected games or be removed from competition.
- A child moving from house league or a training program to a rep team must be registered in the rep category, and any fee difference paid, before taking part in rep activity.
- Everyone on an Ontario Basketball team roster must be an Ontario resident unless OBA grants written approval.
Selection for Ontario's provincial teams is separate and is governed by the OBA Athlete Selection Policy, which applies only to provincial teams.
