The Canadian Amateur Rule Book for Flag Football (published with Football Canada's Non-Contact Rules and Safety Committee) names age groups U8, U10, U12, U14, U16, U18 and U20 through to senior in its field and ball-size rules. It does not state a single age range for flag football.
- 5v5 field: 25 yards wide. For U8, U10, U12, U14 and U16 it is 60 x 25 yards including end zones (40 yards goal line to goal line, end zones up to 10 yards deep). For U18, U20 and senior it is 70 x 25 yards including end zones (50 yards goal line to goal line).
- 7v7 field: 110 yards long by 65 yards wide, plus a 20-yard end zone at each end.
- Goal posts are not required. If present they must be padded and in the end zone.
- The field size may be altered for specific events and to suit the needs or resources of independent leagues.
