Can a starter come back into the game after I substitute them?

Yes, once. A starter who has been replaced may re-enter the game in the same spot in the batting order, but only after their substitute has met mandatory play (six defensive outs and one at-bat).

A starter and their substitute can never be in the lineup at the same time. A substitute who is removed can't re-enter.
