- It's used for USASF Club divisions at The Cheerleading Worlds and by USASF event producers who choose to use it. USASF publishes a list of 2026-27 sanctioned competitions using The Cheerleading Worlds Scoring System.
- For International divisions (such as U16, U18 and International Open), USASF's scoring page points to the IASF Scoring System instead.
- Separate rubrics exist for Prep, Novice, Junior Level 6, Senior Level 6 (Worlds) and Exceptional Athletes. This FAQ covers the Elite tier Levels 1-5 rubric dated 8/1/2026.
- Legality is judged against the 2026-27 USASF Cheer Rules (member term June 1, 2026 to May 31, 2027).
USASF provides judges' training and resources together with the event producers that use the system, and keeps a list of trained judges during the season. Scoring questions and feedback go to scoring@thecheerleadingworlds.net.
