OPDL discipline follows the Ontario Soccer Judicial Matters Policies and Guides (Discipline Policy and Appeals Policy), and the OPDL Discipline Panel is appointed by Ontario Soccer.
- Reports: within 48 hours of the match the match official submits the results, a misconduct report for each incident and any special incident reports.
- Hearings: they take place on the next available date, at least one week after the misconduct is reported. An accused player, coach or team official can request a hearing (except for misconducts listed in section 5.2.6.1 of the Discipline Policy). The request must be emailed to opdlcasemanager@ontariosoccer.net within 72 hours of the match, with a $250 fee.
- Appeals: email appealcasemanager@ontariosoccer.net within 14 days of receiving the decision and the Rights to Appeal information.
- Match suspensions: a player serves a suspension in OPDL matches. Any games left when the team's season ends carry into the next OPDL season, or into the player's new team's league, league cup and playoff games if the player is not in the OPDL.
- Playing up: a player suspended in league play cannot play up for a higher-level team in the same club, or on a Temporary Eligibility Permit for another club, until the last game of the suspension has passed.
- Suspended team officials cannot take part in any sanctioned OPDL match until the suspension is fully served.
- Card fees per team: yellow cards cost $50 at 12 cards, $100 at 20 and $200 at 30. Red cards cost $100 at 5, $200 at 8 and $500 at 10.
- Caution counts: cautions in OPDL Exhibition Series matches or matches against clubs such as TFC, NDC and CPL do not count toward OPDL caution accumulation, but red cards carry over.
