- 2026-27

Fluorinated products are not allowed in Nordiq Canada racing.
- FIS and Nordiq Canada rulebook: use of fluorinated wax or tuning products containing fluorine is prohibited for all FIS disciplines and levels, and its use in competition results in disqualification (article 222.8).
- Nationals: the 2025-26 Nationals technical package states that the use of all fluorinated products is banned and that Nationals adhere to the Nordiq Canada No Fluoro Wax Rule.
- Products not permitted at Nordiq Canada sanctioned races (Nordiq Canada notice for 2024-25, the most recent product list published): fluoro kick wax; high, medium and low fluoro glide wax; high, medium and low fluoro powders, pucks, blocks and liquids; fluoro cold weather powder additives and hardeners; and fluoro grip powders. The notice applied to Canada Cups, Nordiq Cups, Selection Trials, Nationals, Tier 2 (provincial) events and Tier 3 events. Nordiq Canada decided not to implement a wax testing protocol for 2024-25 and used a "community minded trust approach" to testing.
2026-27: Nordiq Canada has announced that common wax protocols and youth ski fleet limits have no finalized changes. A feasibility study was due to be presented in fall 2026, followed by implementation guidance for divisions, clubs, coaches, officials and race organizers.
