At Nordiq Canada sanctioned Tier 1 and Tier 2 competitions that are not FIS sanctioned, jury decisions can be appealed to the Nordiq Canada Competition Appeals Commission.
- The appeal must be submitted in writing within 72 hours of the decision. After 72 hours, potential appellants are deemed to have accepted all decisions.
- The Commission must decide the appeal within 72 hours of the Chair receiving it, unless all parties agree in writing to more time.
- All appeals, responses and evidence must be in writing.
- An appeal does not delay a penalty imposed by the jury or the Commission.
- A Commission decision can be appealed further under the Nordiq Canada Dispute Resolution and Appeal Policy, but only on the basis that the Commission was not free from bias and prejudice. That appeal must reach the Nordiq Canada office within 72 hours of the Commission decision being published.
- Athletes at Tier 1 events who are eligible to earn FIS points must use the FIS appeal process instead.
