- Missing requirement: the difficulty judges apply a penalty of 2.0 for each missing requirement. Requirements may be combined into one element where applicable. In an incomplete exercise, the penalty applies only if the missing requirements could not have been completed in the missing element(s).
- Levels 1-4 compulsory routines: a compulsory routine must be performed exactly as written. If you perform a different skill it is an interruption, and no difficulty (DD) is given for the compulsory routine.
- Levels 1-4 repetition: repeating a 0.1 difficulty element is a 0.4 penalty, on top of losing the difficulty of the repeated element.
- Minimum DD, Levels 5, 6, 7, Junior and Senior: if you do not reach the minimum DD in a complete routine, the penalty is 0.1 for every 0.1 below it, applied by the DD judges. On trampoline there is no maximum penalty. In Levels 1-4 minimum DD is expected, but no penalty applies if it is not met.
- The FIG limit of difficulty per element does not apply within Canada.
