Coaches are responsible for making sure any skill in a routine complies with the IASF Cheer Legality Rules. The AASCF Skill List gives examples of level-appropriate skills but is not a comprehensive list of what can be performed.
Legality rulings by email:
- Level 1 to 7 All Star cheer: the IASF Legality team gives all rulings (cheer.rules@IASFworlds.com).
- Novice and University Elite and Premier: rules@aascf.com.au.
- Attach a video of your team in a practice environment showing a single skill or sequence. Do not send links or competition videos. Replies are one word, LEGAL or ILLEGAL, and take 7 to 10 business days.
- Keep the original ruling email with you at events, because it is your responsibility to have it. If a skill differs from the video, the safety judge or official at the event should point out the difference.
