- Validity: a WWC Card lasts three years, across all categories of child-related work in Western Australia and the Christmas and Cocos (Keeling) Islands, unless it is cancelled sooner.
- Renewal: you can renew up to three months before the expiry date, at Australia Post or online through your WWC Account. Your club representative must confirm online renewals. If you stop child-related work when your card expires, you don't need to renew.
- Expired card: it is an offence to do child-related work with an expired card and no pending application.
- Reassessment: the Screening Unit may reassess your eligibility during the three years if it receives information about a change in criminal history or a reportable conduct finding.
- Cancelling: if you no longer do child-related work you can ask to have the card cancelled by emailing checkquery@communities.wa.gov.au with the subject "Cancel a WWC Card", with your details, card number and a declaration that you are not doing child-related work. This isn't possible while your eligibility is being reassessed.
- Lost card: a replacement card costs $11.00.
