Do I need a check for an overnight camp, interstate trip, billeting or driving kids for the club?

Generally yes, unless an exemption applies to you. These are separate categories of child-related work in the Department of Communities' sport and recreation factsheet:
- Overnight camps and trips (category 15). This covers running activities, coaching, officiating, supervising children or serving them food at overnight events or camps, and anyone doing child-related work on a trip to another state or overseas where they leave from or return to WA with the children. The factsheet says this category includes parent volunteers, whether or not they stay overnight themselves.
- Billeting (category 5). People billeting children from visiting teams.
- Transport (category 16). People specifically transporting children for a club, association or team.
- Private coaching (category 4). Private coaches who are not working through a club, interstate or international coaches working with children in WA, students coaching a junior team as part of a placement, and personal trainers giving individual sessions to children.
A card is valid across all categories of child-related work, so one card covers these roles.
