Each team must supply an Interchange Steward for every match. Your job is to track player rotations and game time. You must:
- record each player's game time on the Rookie Me Play app (on paper if the app is unavailable)
- keep the coach aware of game times so every player gets a minimum of 60% game time
- use the "injured" status only when a player has been injured or ill and assessed, or withdrawn for welfare reasons
- make sure players enter and leave through the interchange area, and that a player does not come on until the teammate they replace has left the playing surface
- make sure the players and jumper numbers in the app match who is actually playing
- finalise the match details at the end and upload them by connecting to WiFi
You may be in the interchange area and may approach the Coaches Box if needed, but you may not be inside the Coaches Box. Both teams must have equal numbers on the field at all times, so watch the player count as well.
