The Rule of Two is one of three pillars of the Coaching Association of Canada's (CAC) Responsible Coaching Movement:
- Rule of Two: interactions and communications with participants happen in open, observable settings with two responsible adults present.
- Background screening: coaches and sport organization leaders are screened, including police information checks done at regular intervals.
- Ethics training: coaches are trained to manage challenging situations.
Organizations can take the Responsible Coaching Movement pledge, which commits them to implementing the Rule of Two, background screening and ethics training, and agrees to be listed on coach.ca as having taken it.
