How long is registration valid, and how do I renew it?

A WWVP registration is valid for 5 years.
- Access Canberra sends a renewal reminder by email or post about 12 weeks before expiry.
- If you lodge your renewal before it expires, your current registration stays valid until a decision is made.
- If you renew after expiry, you can only work or volunteer in regulated activities under the same conditions as a new applicant.
- Update any changed details before renewing.
- Renew online through your ACT Government Digital Account, with the unique letter ID from your renewal letter, your registration number and a Visa or Mastercard if a fee applies. If you cannot use the online form, visit an Access Canberra Service Centre.
- After you submit, you will be emailed whether you need to visit a Service Centre with identity documents.
