Softball Australia uses the WBSC Official Rules of Softball 2026-2029, Fast Pitch from April 2026. A 2026-2029 WBSC Slow Pitch Rule Book is also listed on its rules page. Softball Australia no longer offers a printed rule book.
Softball Australia adopted the new WBSC rules after the 2025-26 National Championships, which were already under way when the WBSC released them. Its technical bulletin TB-2026-1.2 (17 May 2026) lists the substantive changes and clarifications for Australian National Championships. Other competitions may need to update their own by-laws, for example on protest deadlines.
The WBSC Case Play Manual (December 2024 Case Book) is linked from the same page.
