At the start of each half-inning, or when a pitcher relieves another, she gets no more than one minute to deliver no more than five pitches to the catcher or another teammate (6-2-5).
- If the incoming pitcher has already pitched in the game, she gets five warm-up pitches.
- If a pitcher is removed by rule or because of injury and the incoming pitcher hasn't pitched in the game, you may allow more warm-up pitches.
- The one-minute limit doesn't apply when you delay the start of play for a substitution, conference, injury or other umpire duty.
