In all matches, a referee and two touch judges are appointed or mutually agreed upon by the contesting teams. These answers come from the International Laws of the Game (April 2023), which the NRL publishes on playrugbyleague.com for community competitions of ages 13 and over. Junior competitions for ages 6 to 12 play under separate Junior League Laws, which this guide does not cover.
