- Off-floor officials
- 2026-28
- Timekeepers
The host club is responsible for securing a Game Timekeeper, two penalty box attendants, an Official Scorer (with at least one assistant) and a 30-second shot clock operator (Rules 4.2.1 and 4.2.4).
The timer's table consists of the Official Timer, the 30-Second Clock Operator, the Official Scorer and any assistants. It is on the side opposite the team benches and, where possible, between the two teams' penalty boxes. A copy of the game sheet is kept at the timer's table during the game (Rule 1.3.1). Statisticians sit in the press box or as close as possible, but not in the timer and scorer location (Rule 1.3.2).
Before each game the officials must see that the Game Timekeeper and Official Scorer are in place and that all timing and signalling equipment is in order (Rule 4.1.6). The Head Official has full control of minor officials during the game (Rule 4.1.5).
