- Team managers
All teams are expected to make every effort to play their fixtures, including negotiating a reschedule with the opposition.
- If you anticipate or are forced into a forfeit, promptly notify the opposing club and the League. Both clubs then advise the League in writing of the match date and reasons.
- A match is a forfeit if a team starts with fewer than 9 players (12-a-side, Years 3-4) or 12 players (15-a-side, Years 5-6). For Years 3-6, teams short of numbers are encouraged to still play with the even-up principle.
- A team that plays an ineligible player or official forfeits the match.
- Umpire payment: with more than 24 hours' notice to the League, no umpire payment is due; with less than 24 hours, the forfeiting team pays 100% of umpire fees.
- The team receiving a forfeit creates a team sheet crediting its listed players as having played, for records; the team giving the forfeit does not.
- Other forfeit triggers include a player moving teams within the same club and year group after Round One without League approval, and a person failing to leave the playing surface when ordered off.
