How do I prepare and submit the team sheet?
Rule- Western Australia
- WA Football
- Junior football
- Years 3-6
- Modified competitions
- PlayHQ
- 2026
- Team managers
A team sheet must be prepared for every match using PlayHQ, and you are responsible for its accuracy. It must list:
- each player and their jumper number (including last-minute changes)
- the full names of all team officials: coach, assistant coach (if any), team manager, runner, First Aid / Medical Officer, goal umpire, and interchange steward
Rules:
- Anyone not on the team sheet must not play or act as an official. Playing or officiating under another person's name makes the player or official ineligible and the match a forfeit.
- Before the start, correct the sheet: draw a line through anyone who will not take part, and handwrite and update PlayHQ for anyone not listed who will.
- Hand a completed team sheet to the Field Umpire before the match starts.
- A player on the sheet whose name is not crossed off is recorded as having played.
- Late players cannot join until the Field Umpire checks them, at a quarter or half time break only, and nobody arriving after the third quarter starts can play.
- At full time the Field Umpire writes the score, notes cards and signs the paper sheet. You must make sure the paper team sheets and PlayHQ records reconcile after the match, and that results are entered in PlayHQ promptly.
