- 2019
The Official Bench has two scorers and two timekeepers seated at a table opposite the centre of the court, next to the field of play. Scorer 1 is the official scorer and completes the score sheet. Scorer 2 (or a statistician) keeps the Running Score Sheet as an independent check on the score and centre pass, and calls.
Expected standards:
- Dress uniformly, tidy and presentable, and stay impartial to both teams.
- Concentrate on the match at all times, with no casual or unnecessary talk during play.
- No food on the Official Bench or eaten during a match. Water bottles or spill-proof cups are allowed.
- Mobile phones must not be visible or used. Only headphones for official purposes related to the match may be worn.
- Check all equipment works before the match, and be in place well before the start and stay for the whole match.
