- Scorekeepers
The scorer sits at the scorer's table on the opposite side of the court from, and facing, the first referee. The scorer fills in the score sheet according to the rules, co-operating with the second referee, and uses a buzzer or other sound device to alert the referees to irregularities.
Before the match and each set, the scorer:
- Registers the data of the match and the teams, including the names and numbers of the Liberos, and obtains the signatures of the captains and the coaches.
- Records the starting line-up of each team from the line-up sheet (or checks the data submitted electronically). If a line-up sheet is late, the scorer immediately tells the second referee.
The assistant scorer sits beside the scorer, prepares the Libero control sheet and the reserve score sheet, and takes over if the scorer cannot continue.
