Equipment
- The scorebook and pencils
- The alternating-possession arrow
- A signaling device that sounds different from the timer's horn
Setup
- Your seat at the scorer's and timer's table must be marked with an "x" (Rule 1-17).
- It is recommended that the official scorer and the timer sit next to each other (Rule 2-1-3).
- You may wear a black-and-white vertically striped garment, or drape one over the table, so officials can identify you (Rule 2-11-12).
- The referee designates the official scorebook and the official scorer (Rule 2-4-3).
Timing
- The scorebook must be available for inspection at the table from 10 minutes before game time until the referee approves the final score.
