Which rules do Baseball Canada scorekeepers follow?

Baseball Canada follows the Official Baseball Rules except as modified by its "Canadian Content" section, and a change to the official rules does not take effect until Baseball Canada's Board of Directors approves it. Scoring is covered by Rule 9.00, The Official Scorer.

For the 2026 season Baseball Canada uses the 2025 edition of the Official Baseball Rules. Its 2026 rule summary lists the Rule 9.00 changes about shift restriction violations as not applicable to Baseball Canada.
