Under Appendix 7 for the Australian Masters Rowing Championships:
- Champion of Champions singles: the winning sculler in each single scull event is invited to the Champion of Champions single scull event (men and women). It is run with the relevant handicaps as a straight final. Winners are notified and can register on a first-come basis, with 7 lanes available.
- Champion Club Eight (John Whiting Trophy): offered for men and women and open to all clubs. Crews must consist of members of one club only, including the coxswain. The event is handicapped.
- Low entries: events with low entries may be combined into one race with relevant handicaps. In single-gender championship events, medals are still awarded separately regardless of how many events are in the race. This does not apply to the Champion Club Eight or Mixed events.
- Event list: the championship events are set out in Appendix 9. They include men's and women's events for each grade from A to M in boats from single sculls to eights, mixed events, and Club Eights.
