What happens if I drop out of a race, or get lapped in a criterium?

Dropping out: a rider must tell a commissaire that they have dropped out of the race. Fines or penalties may apply if they do not.

Criteriums: for safety, riders who are lapped are asked to leave the race. Criterium circuits are from 800 m to 3,000 m long.
