What are the junior age categories?

Annexure 5 of the 2026 AusCycling General Technical Regulations sets these categories for road, track, mountain bike, cyclo-cross, gravel and esports:

| Under 11 | 9 to 10 |
| Under 13 | 11 to 12 |
| Under 15 | 13 to 14 |
| Under 17 | 15 to 16 |
| Under 19 | 17 to 18 |
Your age is your age at the end of 31 December of the competition year. For track and criterium competition the year begins on 1 October. For other disciplines (including road races) it begins on 1 January.
Events below State/Territory level may change categories to suit the size of the event, in line with the AusCycling Junior/Riding Up Policy.
