Volleyball Canada publishes three documents for the 2026-27 season at volleyball.ca/en/development/referee/rules-amp-guidelines:
- Volleyball Canada Official Volleyball Rules 2026-2027: the official FIVB international rules, authorized by the National Referee Committee of Canada and edited and modified for Canadian volleyball. Volleyball Canada variations are marked "Volleyball Canada" in the text (for example 60-second time-outs and age-classification rules for liberos and substitutions).
- Referee Guidelines and Instructions 2026-27: how to apply the rules, including game management, hand signal sequences, sanctions, protests and match protocol.
- Rule Change Summary 2026-27: changes to rule text and corrected interpretations for the season.
Certified referees must bring the current Volleyball Canada rule book to every match.
