What kit and protective equipment am I allowed to wear?

Under Art. 4.3 and 4.4 of the IWBF Official Wheelchair Basketball Rules 2024:

• Playing barefoot is not permitted.
• Numbers: at least 16 cm high on the back and 8 cm on the front, and at least 2 cm wide. Only 0, 00 and 1 to 99 may be used, and no two players on a team may wear the same number. Advertising or logos must be at least 4 cm from the numbers.
• Shirts: teams need at least 2 sets. The first-named (home) team wears light shirts, preferably white, and the visiting team dark shirts, unless both teams agree to swap.
• Not permitted:
  • any equipment designed to increase your height or reach, or otherwise give an unfair advantage;
  • finger, hand, wrist, elbow or forearm guards, helmets, casts or braces made of leather, plastic (including soft plastic), metal or any other hard material, even if padded;
  • anything that could cut or cause abrasions (fingernails must be cut short);
  • hair accessories and jewellery.

Remember that your wheelchair counts as part of you (Art. 3.1.1 and 32). It must meet the equipment rules too, or it will be banned from the game.
