Yes. Wheelchair Basketball Canada says players with disabilities are the primary focus, and that it encourages athletes with a disability and able-bodied athletes to compete together on the same court within a classification system. Players can join at initiation, developmental, competitive and elite levels, in programs for youth, women and men. The Canadian Wheelchair Basketball League describes itself as fully integrated, with both divisions welcoming athletes with a disability.
Under WBC's Classification Procedures (December 2019), players without a permanent disability in the lower limbs are classified as 4.5. If they have an upper extremity impairment, a reduction may be warranted.

Wheelchair Basketball Canada says classification levels a team's total functional ability on the court relative to its opponent. Classifiers assess skills such as wheeling, dribbling, passing, reaction to contact, shooting and rebounding, and assign a point value. Canadian classes follow the international system and range from 1.0 to 4.5; lower classes have more functional limitations. The IWBF rules list the valid classes as 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 and 4.5.
