Which rules does Volleyball Canada use for beach volleyball?

Volleyball Canada Beach Nationals use the FIVB Official Beach Volleyball Rules (2025-2028 edition), apart from Volleyball Canada variations. The Youth and Senior Competition Guides list a few notable variations, and the Youth guide points to the Volleyball Canada website for the full description of all variations. Teams and coaches acknowledge the competition guide, the FIVB rule book with the Volleyball Canada variations, the Volleyball Canada Code of Conduct and the Concussion Guidelines at check-in.

This guide covers the 2026 season, the latest Beach Nationals documents Volleyball Canada has published.
