What is the maximum score I can post on a hole?

Once you have a Handicap Index (Rule 3.1b), each hole is capped at net double bogey:
Par + 2 + any handicap strokes you receive on that hole
Example: on a par 4 where you get 1 stroke, your maximum is 7. Plus-handicap players subtract strokes they give back. There's no limit to how many holes can be adjusted in a round.
- Use your full Course Handicap for net double bogey, even if your league restricts the strokes you get for the competition.
- If your Course Handicap is over 54 and you get 4 or more strokes on a hole, the maximum is par + 5.
Before you have a Handicap Index (Rule 3.1a), the maximum on every hole is par + 5.
When you post hole by hole, the adjustment is made automatically.
