The Rules expect Committees to make allowances. In applying the ban on unreasonable delay to players with disabilities, each Committee should use its discretion and set its own reasonable standards, taking into account:
- the difficulty of the course,
- the weather (because of its effect on assistive mobility devices),
- the nature of the competition, and
- the extent of the players' disabilities.
With these factors in mind, it may be appropriate for the Committee to use a more relaxed interpretation of what counts as unreasonable delay. The pace of play standards for a particular event are set by its Committee.
