What equipment rules do I need to follow on game day?

Your head coach has to confirm before every game that all players are legally equipped, and officials enforce it.

Tooth and mouth protector

• Must be in place when the ball is put in play.
• Must be a color other than clear or white, so officials can see it.
• New for 2026: no attachments that don't serve to protect the teeth or mouth, and nothing that's a health or safety risk to you or other players.

Worn properly

• Pants must cover your knees.
• Shoulder pads must be completely covered by the jersey.

Not allowed: jewelry, tinted visors, eye shade that isn't legal, bands on the upper arm, neck or legs, non-conforming adornments such as towels, and any camera or microphone.

Home jerseys must all be the same dark color(s) clearly contrasting with white.
