How long is a game, and how many timeouts do we get?

Question

Accepted Answer

A game is four 12-minute periods, the same as traditional high school football. New for 2026-27 (Rule 3-5-1): each team gets three charged timeouts per half (up from two). Unused first-half timeouts don't carry over to the second half, and unused second-half timeouts can't be used in overtime.
