- Players
- Up to 10 players per team may be on the field at the same time, and one of the 10 may be a goalkeeper (Rule 5). For World Lacrosse events a full team roster is a maximum of 22 players.
- Each team may substitute an unlimited number of players at any time during play or stoppages (Rule 14).
- Players must substitute from the team bench area to the substitution area. The player coming on may enter the field once the player going off has exited and has both feet in the substitution area.
- After a legal goal, substitutes may enter immediately through the substitution gate without waiting for teammates to leave.
- Players or staff in the substitution area who are not in the process of substituting are not permitted there. An illegal substitution is a minor foul.
