Can I move between my club's teams in different leagues?

Q: Can I move between my club's teams in different leagues?

Yes, within limits set by the CGL By-laws: Dropping down a league: clubs with more than one team may move players to a lower league, but a player who has played 4 or more consecutive matches in a higher league may not play in a lower league without the Board's consent. Saturday and Sunday are separate: a Saturday league player may play in a higher or lower Sunday league, and vice versa. Premier League players may drop to the Saturday One to Saturday Three leagues only. Provincial players: a current Lions player who has played provincial cricket may not play below the Premier League without the Board's consent. Penalty for breaking the demotion rule: the club loses the points for that match, is fined R500 and loses a further 3 points, and the player is suspended for a match.
