- Lightning round: two 10 minute halves with a 4 minute half time.
- Finals: four 10 minute quarters, with 4 minutes at quarter time and three-quarter time and 6 minutes at half time.
- Siren: one blast one minute before the start of each quarter or half, and one at the start. Teams cannot leave the playing surface during intervals.
The clock stops only:
- at the umpire's discretion when a player falls from their chair in the first three quarters or first half
- for a classification review run by the match manager
- when the umpire decides it must stop to keep the match fair, such as for an injury or to retrieve or change the football
- when a player falls and the umpire sees safety concerns
- after each goal in the lightning round, restarting when the ball leaves the umpire's hand at the centre ball up
- after a goal or behind in the final quarter of finals
Interchange is allowed at any time with no limit, through the interchange gates in the centre zone. The incoming player waits until the exiting player is completely outside the boundary line.
